John Justus Okon is a hybrid Professor of Communication studies and faculty member at Stratford University, Alexandria Virginia. Professor Okon has joint appointments at Washington Adventist University, Tacoma Park Maryland in the department of Communication and Business. His Professorial career spans across many citadels of knowledge in United States of America including: Strayer University, Marist College, NYU, College of New Rochelle NY, State University of New York, and Albany. Dr. Okon is a visiting Professor at University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria where he also serves as member board of Trustees. He holds PhD and Doctors of Arts in Communication, Education, and Humanities from State University of New York, Albany. He has authored several articles, books, book chapters and manuscripts in education and communication studies. Formerly a senior communication specialist with IBM New York, Professor Okon is the director a Center for Teachers Effectiveness, Consultant for Corporate Communication Training Corporation and Senior Vice President at
Bendexhr in Germantown, Maryland. As a research fellow at Wilson Center, a liberal think tank in Washington DC; his academic research interests include Non-verbal communication and learning disabilities.
